Te Whāriki Manawāhine o Hauraki Women’s Refuge (Te Whāriki) is a tangata whenua responsive service. Te Whāriki is a leader of innovative, whānau-centred approaches that support whānau to address and heal from historical and intergenerational trauma, leading to the restoration of Mauri Ora.
Te Whāriki is seeking new staff members who are committed to healing and recovery from a decolonised perspective.
- He Kaiārataki Wāhine – a clinical leadership position, where you will be experienced in managing staff, and have the necessary qualifications in clinical supervision from an indigenous perspective.
- He Kaiārataki Tamariki/Rangatahi – this role is to provide culturally relevant tamariki and rangatahi support for whānau to keep their mokopuna safe.
- He Pou Takawaenga – this position requires someone experienced in the successful implementation of tangata whenua community development initiatives, enabling hapū/iwi Māori to implement their own solutions to whānau violence
- He Kaiwhakahaere o te Tari – this role is part-time maternity cover for six months starting mid-April and requires an experienced senior administrator, who will ensure the administrative functions of Te Whāriki are sustainable and meet best practice standards.
